Hi boys and girls!!! I will talk about The Notebook, my favourite picture. Well, perhaps this is a kinky typical love's movie to cry a lot but I love it and I have seen it hundreds of time.
The Notebook was directed by Nick Cassavetes and it's about Noah Calhaun and Allie Hamilton's love. everything begins in 1940's summer in Seabrook town, North Carolina, on the village fair; when Noah realise he likes Allie. Though she goes with her friend, he gets closer her until to obtain an appointment.
The principal obstacle the couple has to face is that he's a humble local lumberjack, while she comes from a rich family and only will be in Seabrook during the summer. Surprinsinly, Allie's parents don't intervene on her daugther's relationship because they know the relation necessarily must be fleeting 'cause Allie has to return to New York.
Howwever, Allie and Noah are deeply in love and when they are separated he primises write to her every day and he does it, although he draft in the Army for The Second World War. But Allie's mom never hand over the letters to her daughter.
At the same time, Allie works as a voluntary at an Army's hospital where meets a rich soldier named Lon Hammond.
When Noah comes back from war's front discovers that Allie is engaged with Lon; and when Allie finds out about Noah's return she goes to search him to take a decision about what to do with her life because she couldn't have forgotten him.
But there is also another story which support the principal couple's story: An elderly man who reads day after day a love's story to a sick woman with Alzheimer on an old people's home so she can remember her own love's story because she is Allie and the man who reads is Noah. At the end Allie remember all about his love just for a second and Noah goes to take care of his wife but both died hugged and together.
Hi teacher and classemates, because during the week I don't have any time to post my comments because of my homework's major, I will post my last comments (which I read in class)right now in order to have my six required comments.
First I wiil tell you and adventure with my boyfriend.
My boyfriend and me love going out to know different mexican places. One day while we were on Cenlex we decided to skipped class and go to Tepoztlan, but if we had konwn what was going to happen, I'm sure we wouldn't have gone.
Firstly, we got lost mayvy for an hour 'cause we couldn't find the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway. When we finally found it we stopped on the higway viewer to see the spectacular Mexico City View.
We went out of the car and my boyfriend didn't noticed he hadn't closed car's door. We were seeing the view and while we were talking, a squirrel went into the car.
We continued our travel but since we get into the car we noticed an strange smell and noise; we didn't care about that because we taught it was from out of the car.
We arrived to Tepoztlan and when I opened the door a big squirrel ran out of the car. We checked inside of the car and saw the squirrelhad eaten our English and French books and also car's sits.
It was terrible, but as we were already there we decided to go to Tepozteco hill but at the moment they started to rain too much and we have to came back to the car and return to Mexico City.
As you know I practise Belly Dance, so I'll tell u something about this beautiful dance, to some of you who don't know it.
Belly Dance is a western term for a traditional middle eastern dance form. In the Arabic language it is known as a Raqs Sharqui or Raqs Baladi.
it is said that Belly Dance is from ancient Egypt, where this dance was used as a god's ceremony. Virgins women dance it to prepare for the fertility and just her future husband, her close family and some of her female friends could see the dance.
Mainstays of costuming include a little top or bra, a hip belt and a large skirt (all of thatb with coins), and to accentuate arms movements belly dancer use a veil and a cane.
Belly dance is a sensual and suggestive dance. It's based on soft and wavy movements which involve the whole body, thought mayority of movements are located in hips and abdominal muscles.
Participation of body can be described in the following way: Torso and shoulders draw waves; arms and hand are placed always in an armonic position creating images of birds, snakes, etc. Hips draw straight lines and eigths. This dance also involves shimmies, flexibility feats, rolling belly muscles and balancing things like baskets or canes.
Belly Dance benefits are mental and physical: dancing provides a good cardiovascular work out and help increase flexibility ans strenght; as a form of exercise, it can burn as many calories as swiming or riding a bike. So, what are u waiting for practise belly dance?????
Today I have written 3 comments and I don't know what more posted. But thinking it well I will write about why I'm studing English because I have been studing English during 4 years and some times I get bored and tired to study it but when I think about English importance I remember all the school, work and life benefits of study and know English.
I think English is the most important language in the world, not just for being the bussiness language, also because it is known through the world.
Nowadays in all employements -or at least the good ones- ask for an advanced English level with determinated score in TOEFL and First Certificate exams; that's why it is very important to speak it very well.
As I said, I have been studing English during 4 years and in all courses I have been, teachers just were with the book and speaking was forgotten. In FC courses I would like to improve my pronunciation and my conversation capacity, because specially in my major, Advertising, English is basic 'cause many words I use every day are in this language and it's not the same thing as in Spanish.
Also I would like to learn very well this language because I'm planning to travel to London, and know, dominate and combine English with another language opens you so many doors in the work field, the biggests companies and also in all your life.
