Hello my friends. Today i will recommend you some places to visit on weekends. It’s nice to go with your family or friends and have a great time and it’s not necessary to spend lots of money or travel long distances.
My recommendation for this weekend is a place located at the north of Mexico City: Its Tepotzotlan. It has mild weather most of the year.
Tepotzotlan was founded in the 16th century, but before the conquerors came to Mexico, there was a well-built prehispanic city. To get there you have to take the Mexico-Querataro highway and in the Cuautitlan pay-stand (caseta de cobro) turn right If you come from the south or turn right if you come from the north, and the signals will guide you and Tepotzotlan is 2 km far from there. There are some interesting places to visit, one of them and the most important I think is the beautiful ex-convent that nowadays it’s a museum: Museo Nacional del Virreinato. In front of the Museum you can find a plaza where you can buy traditional Mexican food and Mexican handcrafts only on weekends. And if you like nature and the adventure there are near places where biking, walking and fishing can be practiced rounded by a beautiful, landscape.
In Mexico we have lots of options to visit without spending much money and Tepotzotlan is one of them. If you decide to visit Tepotzotlan this weekend I my best wishes for you and I hope you enjoy it.
Your friend Rudolf
