Talking about lies...

I took the time and advantage talking about the lies around internet, radio and tv.
These are ones of the lies more scientific, of course are just a summary:

1. We only use the 10% of our brain

False. In this myth firstly how they know that it's just a 10%, and not 7.85%. That's really mean that our brain works at 10% is as mesleading as say that our intestine works by 10% because we are not able to digest stones or that our eyes work at 10% because we can't see throught walls like superman.

Well i don't feel like superman, but i'm still don't know if i can trust in test about a dancing girl...

2. The nails and hair keep growing after death

False. Because the nails and hair needs about a hormonal complex process that paralyzes in the moment of death.


3. You have to drink 2 litres of water per day

False. We don't need so much water in our body to be healthy. In fact, many tests shows that our body is pretty good to regulate how much water do we need, and we can know it when we are thirsty. And we don't need to drink so much pure water because, the necesary we can find it perfectly in other kind of liquids that constantly drink, for example coffee, milk, even in the food.


And i had already start to believe in tv commercials about drink 2 litters per day :S

4. Hangovers can be cured and avoid testing positive for alcohol control

False. That could be great!!... But no way. Not exist any of the remedies you have heard for testing negative for alcohol control. Don't drink coffee with salt, don't take a mint...




Puff... And now, oh yeah i know, and maybe sounds much better... "Avoid hangover, keep you drunk".

5. Sugar makes kids hyperactive

False. The researchers found at least 12 studies that analyzed the behavior of children with diets containing different levels of sugar and have never found differences between them. That is, parents have the myth so ingrained that they become convinced that their children become hyperactive sugar intake but not true. Obviously we have to beware of excess glucose, but more a question of food safety and obesity by hyperactivity.


So, if you have a little brother or you are a babysitter, here is your answer you find something with you can control children, of course the candies!!!
